I have long wanted to find my way in the maze of self-knowledge, or at least to find meaning for my actions and reactions... because these are automatic answers ingrained in us from long ago. Over generations, we reconstruct these ingrained patterns, reliving them over and over again, with only slight changes...

What do people really want? The answer is difficult, since we are constantly searching for a way out of a perfect world, the way back to Eden after our exile. The Eve & Adam performance addresses this universal question through the language of movement and the artistic representation of two young choreographers.

After three years of various dance techniques, the graduating class has honed its skills in master classes taken in the fourth year. In addition to the excellent masters of the university, they had the opportunity to become familiar with the most important creators and company leaders of the Hungarian dance scene.

The two-act full-length production Reverie invites the audience into a world of reverie, memories, and contemplation. The debut show by the Debrecen company, founded in 2024 and consisting of young and international dance artists, will include two pieces with different moods. The first part, Sirius, draws inspiration from Árpád Tóth’s poem From Soul to Soul. The second, Fine Day, reworks the personal stories of Generation Z dancers to electronic music by Előd Abonyi.

A hétvégi Ringató foglalkozásokra az apukák, nagyszülők és minden szeretett hozzátartozó is el tud jönni énekelni és játszani. Ünnepi hangulatban telnek azok a Ringatók, ahol minden családból több felnőtt is elkíséri a gyerekeket.

3i PARty egy fantázia alapú közös táncolás a Nemzeti Táncszínház előcsarnokában Petrovics Sándorral és DJ Gentle Bastard.

This performance provides a cross-section of the diversity and high professional standards of dance training, which will enable students to find employment with professional companies after graduation. The performance is also the end-of-year exam, where a panel of examiners assesses the work of students and teachers, and the leaders of the professional ensembles that will be their future workplaces are also invited.

Narcissus explores the delicate balance between human relationships and between love and self-love.

In the new On Tiptoe series, dance critic Léna Megyeri and music historian Ádám Bősze invite each other (and, of course, the audience) to play a game. Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of Memoirs of a Geisha. The performance takes viewers into the lonely, secretive, and personal world of Women of Dance and Art, the memoir of an elderly dancer who always danced with her whole soul. Yvette Bozsik’s iconic partner, Tamás Vati, also features in the performance, which reveals the inner work of a dancer’s self-knowledge, rituals, inner vibrations, and secrets in the triple unity of body, soul, and spirit. Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by the autobiography Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of the world-famous book and film Memoirs of a Geisha.

Ever since God gave Adam a companion, fashioned from his rib, in Paradise, the order of the world has been that no one should live alone. Its modality has taken dozens of shades over the millennia since then: cohabitation, bigamy, polygamy, polyandry, all the way until we come to the most familiar form today.

We don’t really understand why he does what he does – Hermes is an enigma. His personality irritates us, yet there is something about him that captivates us. How does he enchant us? What is at the heart of the magic that this taboo-breaking, charming and arrogant trickster casts on us?

Táncszínházi előadásunkban a kamaszokat foglalkoztató témákat vesszük alapul, mint a szerelem, a fiú-lány szerepek, a testi és lelki változások, átmenet a gyermekkorból a felnőtt létbe, leválás a családról, a barátok szerepe, dacolni és ellenszegülni a felnőttek világával, végül pedig megbékélni, elfogadni egymást és önmagunkat.

Zsófia Pirók was the first Hungarian to earn a degree in flamenco dance from the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza in Seville. Her performances have been featured both in Hungarian and in international theatres and tablaos. In 2019, she was awarded the title Best Dancer of the Season from the Association of Hungarian Dance Artists. Her premieres are part of the programme at the National Dance Theatre Budapest, where she represents the highest level of the art of flamenco in Hungary.

Written in 1909,‘Liliom, or the Life and Death of a Villain' captivates audiences everywhere. It tells the story of a powerful and chaotic love affair between a maid and a carousel operator. It’s a story of misery, raw emotions and fragility. The characters take ownership of their fate and lock themselves in their failures; it is as if they’ve been down the same road a hundred times without ever learning.

Rhapsody as a genre is characterized by caprice and the passionate undulation of emotion, thoughts, and the freedom of expression. Hungarian Rhapsody incorporates all of the peculiarities of thegenre, relying on tradition, and drawing inspiration from it, to create a special and unique dance rhapsody. The colorful diversity of the Hungarian peasant traditions appear in dynamically alternating images – the acrobatics of the male dances, the poetry of the female dances, and the virtuosity of the couples’ dances. The most beautiful melodies of folk culture surface at times as dance accompaniments, or as whimsical solos, and at other times as tempestuous orchestral play.

When two people meet, values, customs, traditions, and languages always come together. Expectations. The compulsion to meet other’s expectations. I have to make room within myself for the other person, who can only find meaning within me according to my own rules and my own axis of experience. That is how my own existence is reinterpreted in the other.

Two deceptively similar suitcases end up in the wrong hands. That is how the characters embark on an adventurous journey full of complications, misunderstandings, and comic situations, where no one is quite who they seem to be. In the confusion, the threads become fatally tangled. To further complicate their relationships, the journey traps the characters in a single room. The girls become friends with each other, and the boys seek the company of the girls and then each other in their own individual ways.

It takes all sorts to make a world. Both Physically and Spiritually.
