A Nemzeti Táncszínház népszerű előadás-sorozata szórakoztató formában mutatja be a film- és táncművészet közös történetét, Lakatos János nívódíjas koreográfus, a Magyar Táncművészeti Főiskola tanárának multimédiás előadásában.
A Táncoló Filmkockák soron következő előadásában mindenki megtalálhatja a hozzá legközelebb álló stílust, legyen szó társastáncokról, klasszikus balettről, vagy éppen az utcai áramlatokról, mint a hip-hop, vagy breaktánc. Olyan kedvencek kerülnek terítékre, mint a Moulin Rouge, a Billy Elliot, a Rivaldafényben vagy az Egy asszony illata. Bepillantunk a tangó és flamenco mestere, Carlos Saura műhelyébe, a Fekete hattyú forgatására és a Rize stílusteremtő táncosai életébe.

The idea for The Nutcracker ballet came from theone-time director of the Tsarist theatre who, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale entitled the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, wanted to stage a fairy tale ballet that would surpass all that had gone before, both in sound and in spectacle. Tchaikovsky was asked to compose the music and after Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty his third and final ballet was also a great success. It was the six-movement suite of the music of The Nutcracker that was first performed in March 1892, and in December of the same year the spectacularly presented theatrical work was also performed. The Nutcracker has become the most frequently played ballet piece of all time.
The Fitos Dezső Dance Company is careful to regularly stage dance theatre performances that consider the authentic transmission of folklore and the cultures of various historical Hungarian regions as their primary goal. Transylvania Express is a selection of Transylvanian dances and music. With this performance, we want to convey the message that traditional culture lives on in all of us who believe in the value of keeping tradition alive—because tradition defines our future!
