The invisible internal transformation hides behind the external sign, the visible change. The two dancing bodies of the performance indicate only one person. The contemporary dance of Christine Bonansea, a French-American artist and the butoh of choreographer Batarita, two recognised artists who have toured on international stages, get connected in the act to span the theme.

The two performers first met in March 2018 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where Bonansea’s solo was performed as part of the American Dance Abroad. In 2019, Christine and Batarita worked together in Korea as co-creators on several pieces, while the duo idea was born. The creation of the piece “Indicator” started back in late 2019, in Busan, Korea, but the show, scheduled for 2020 and missed due to the pandemic, is only coming back in the autumn of 2021.

Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of Memoirs of a Geisha. The performance takes viewers into the lonely, secretive, and personal world of Women of Dance and Art, the memoir of an elderly dancer who always danced with her whole soul. Yvette Bozsik’s iconic partner, Tamás Vati, also features in the performance, which reveals the inner work of a dancer’s self-knowledge, rituals, inner vibrations, and secrets in the triple unity of body, soul, and spirit. Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by the autobiography Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of the world-famous book and film Memoirs of a Geisha.
A Csitrakárí (A festőnő) című darabot egy magyar származású indiai festőnő művei ihlették. Az előadás képei azonban nem ecsettel, hanem a tánc eszközeivel készültek. Ezek a képek múlandó emléket állítva tisztelegnek egy hosszú és termékeny művészi út előtt. Brunner Erzsébet festményei a tánc segítségével megelevenednek, és tovább mesélik azt a pillanatot, amit festőjük megragadott. A képek egy életútról beszélnek, szellemi és fizikai utazásról az érdeklődéstől, ismerkedéstől, az élményeken és felismeréseken át elért szintézisig, az út végéig – a feloldódásig.
