Bezárkóztak az országok. Kiürültek az utcák, a városok. Megteltek a kórházak, a halottaskocsik. Megváltozott a létünk. A járvány magával sodorta korábbi életünket, megszakította társas kapcsolatainkat, leépítette korábbi biztonságérzetünket. Kicsit elveszettebbek, kicsit magányosabbak, kicsit tapasztaltabbak lettünk. A halál hol tombolva táncol(t), hol csendesebben. Az emberiség pedig egy pillanatra elcsendesedett. Egy pillanatra. Danse macabre. De vajon valóban most járja-e a világ haláltáncát? Nem az a létezés és pusztítás-e a mi haláltáncunk, amiben él(t)ünk, és amit magunk körül hagy(t)unk létünkkel? Danse macabre - azután CSÖND. Azután folytatjuk... Ugyanúgy a haláltáncukat.

The evoked era in the performance coincides with the time of the original premiere of Swan Lake. At the same time the second half of the 19th century was also a period known for the spreading of mental hospitals; patients 'possessed' by animal spirits and treatments of mental illnesses by torture and other bizarre methods.
Ever since God gave Adam a companion, fashioned from his rib, in Paradise, the order of the world has been that no one should live alone. Its modality has taken dozens of shades over the millennia since then: cohabitation, bigamy, polygamy, polyandry, all the way until we come to the most familiar form today.
The Fitos Dezső Dance Company is careful to regularly stage dance theatre performances that consider the authentic transmission of folklore and the cultures of various historical Hungarian regions as their primary goal. Transylvania Express is a selection of Transylvanian dances and music. With this performance, we want to convey the message that traditional culture lives on in all of us who believe in the value of keeping tradition alive—because tradition defines our future!
