Az előadás öt fiatal virág játéka, záródnak és megnyílnak, egymásra figyelnek, beszélgetnek - ez a "kánontánc", amelynek minimalizmusa jellemzi a koreográfiát.

japán-magyar koprodukció
A játszótársak koncentrált mozgások – futás, ugrálás, úszás, hol víz feletti-, hol víz alatti létezés – közepette reagálnak egymásra. Ez a verseny azonban nem a gyorsaságról vagy a győzelemről szól. A tánctéren látható küzdelem az eleven, mozgásban lévő testek versengése, ám ezúttal a résztvevők sokkal inkább magukkal, s nem a másikkal vívnak meg. A versenytárs (vagy éppen embertárs) titokzatos testjeleire adott hol harmonikus, hol diszharmonikus reakciók keltik a küzdelem érzetét, a testverseny igazi célját.

The idea for The Nutcracker ballet came from theone-time director of the Tsarist theatre who, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale entitled the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, wanted to stage a fairy tale ballet that would surpass all that had gone before, both in sound and in spectacle. Tchaikovsky was asked to compose the music and after Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty his third and final ballet was also a great success. It was the six-movement suite of the music of The Nutcracker that was first performed in March 1892, and in December of the same year the spectacularly presented theatrical work was also performed. The Nutcracker has become the most frequently played ballet piece of all time.
The next stop of our Live Dance Archive series, marked by the name of Zoltán Zsuráfszky, will be presented under the title Viharsarok, this time directed by Gergő Sánta, dance leader of the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble.
