A különféle területekről származó tánctechnikák sokban különböznek egymástól, de mégis összeköti őket a közös kulturális háttér. India klasszikus táncai nem egy virtuális táncmúzeum kiállított tárgyai, hanem a tánctörténelem nagy túlélői, hiszen mindig tudtak alkalmazkodni a kor igényeihez, kihívásaihoz, ahogy teszik azt a 21. században is. Mára részévé váltak a nemzetközi táncvilágnak, ezeket a technikákat felhasználva világszerte születnek hagyományos és kortárs darabok is.
Az előadás betekintést nyújt néhány, egymástól jelentősen eltérőindiai klasszikus táncstílus titkaiba, megmutatja, hogy épül fel egy darab, mi a különbség a műfajok között, mi a történetük és mi köti őket össze, hogy beszélnek a kézjelek, milyen az indiai színjátszás, mit kell tudnia egy táncosnak, miről szólnak a darabok és főleg, hogy mit kell tudnia a közönségnek, hogy beavatottként élvezhessen egy előadást.

EXISTENCE is a tango dance theatre work that follows along the journey of human life—from the drifting impetus of youth to the quiet insight of old age. This journey is born in the tango, in the intimacy of the embrace, through the deep connection between the soul and the body.
Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of Memoirs of a Geisha. The performance takes viewers into the lonely, secretive, and personal world of Women of Dance and Art, the memoir of an elderly dancer who always danced with her whole soul. Yvette Bozsik’s iconic partner, Tamás Vati, also features in the performance, which reveals the inner work of a dancer’s self-knowledge, rituals, inner vibrations, and secrets in the triple unity of body, soul, and spirit. Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by the autobiography Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of the world-famous book and film Memoirs of a Geisha.
The idea for The Nutcracker ballet came from theone-time director of the Tsarist theatre who, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale entitled the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, wanted to stage a fairy tale ballet that would surpass all that had gone before, both in sound and in spectacle. Tchaikovsky was asked to compose the music and after Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty his third and final ballet was also a great success. It was the six-movement suite of the music of The Nutcracker that was first performed in March 1892, and in December of the same year the spectacularly presented theatrical work was also performed. The Nutcracker has become the most frequently played ballet piece of all time.
