Amikor Jacopo Godani hozzálátott a Hollow Bones című darabjának koreográfiájához, a művészi szabadság gondolatát a madarakkal állította párhuzamba. Elképzelése szerint ez az eszme a madarak könnyű, üreges csontozatában fejeződik ki.
A Hollow Bones erről a szabadságról szól, és ez a törekvés a koreográfiai elveit is mélyen áthatja. A darab egyfajta művészi hitvallásként foglalja össze Godani sajátos előadásmódját, a klasszikus balett-technikához való hozzáállását és széleskörű koreográfiai kutatásait. Az olyan megoldások, mint a szokatlan hangok és a beszélt szöveg beépítése kiemelik az előadás kísérleti jellegét, és segítenek megteremteni a valós idejű kompozícióval jellemzett koreográfiai struktúrát. A színpadi jelenetek spontán módon, egy nem tetten érhető, de nagyon is átgondolt terv szerint kezdődnek és érnek véget.

The idea for The Nutcracker ballet came from theone-time director of the Tsarist theatre who, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale entitled the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, wanted to stage a fairy tale ballet that would surpass all that had gone before, both in sound and in spectacle. Tchaikovsky was asked to compose the music and after Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty his third and final ballet was also a great success. It was the six-movement suite of the music of The Nutcracker that was first performed in March 1892, and in December of the same year the spectacularly presented theatrical work was also performed. The Nutcracker has become the most frequently played ballet piece of all time.
Inspired by the songs of Kossuth and Jászai Mari Prize winner Judit Halász, the performance of the Central Europe Dance Theatre company is aimed at preschoolers and young school children.
