Acosta Danza mixes classical ballet and contemporary dance with flamenco, and Afro-Cuban styles. Raul Reinoso’s SATORI undertakes an inner journey to spiritual enlightenment, to the discovery of inner truth, beauty and light.

Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’ Faun gives form to the juxtaposition of human and animal elements. This duet shows the duality of male and female energy simultaneously discovering and taunting each other. Pntus Lidberg’s PAYSAGE celebrates youth from dusk until dawn. carried by a score from Leo Brouwer inspired by rumba rhythms. Traditional cultural heritage meets modern dance in Impronta combining contemporary and Afro-Cuban folk dances.

The program ends with DE PUNTA  A CABO and the entire dance ensemble on stage. Set against a projection of Havana's stunningly beautiful waterfront, the Malecón, this piece reveals all the contradictions of contemporary Cuban society.

Our offer

The idea for The Nutcracker ballet came from theone-time director of the Tsarist theatre who, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale entitled the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, wanted to stage a fairy tale ballet that would surpass all that had gone before, both in sound and in spectacle. Tchaikovsky was asked to compose the music and after Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty his third and final ballet was also a great success. It was the six-movement suite of the music of The Nutcracker that was first performed in March 1892, and in December of the same year the spectacularly presented theatrical work was also performed. The Nutcracker has become the most frequently played ballet piece of all time.

It takes all sorts to make a world. Both Physically and Spiritually. How well can you spot and accept diversity in you? Tonight we are going to look at these questions through the steps of tango.

Ever since God gave Adam a companion, fashioned from his rib, in Paradise, the order of the world has been that no one should live alone. Its modality has taken dozens of shades over the millennia since then: cohabitation, bigamy, polygamy, polyandry, all the way until we come to the most familiar form today.
