This production of the FrenÁk Company features adynamic team, the members of a new generation. The young, creative dancers draw on the energies of their colourful cultural and linguistic differences as they bring a new creative approach to FrenÁk’s concept. It is a fusion of the arts, a multimedia work with two contrasting yet complementary parts that reflect on the contradictions of our times.

All aboard! The Wind Queen sets sail at dawn. The destination is Dormouse-Port, the largest harbour in the world. As captain of the ship, I’m recruiting keen, happy, diligent and witty sailors! Our journey won’t be without peril, as we have to cross the Goo-Sea, and we might not steer clear of the Dragon-strait either; nonetheless, our mission is crucial! The Yellow Rose is Mór Jókai\'s 1892 novel about the Hungarian Puszta, in which he details the natural world and the customs of the Hortobágy region with the fastidiousness of an ethnologist. In the dance performance, choreographer and director Árpád Könczei worked with the Maros Ensemble to present the dramatic story of this novel inspired by the peasant world.

The inspiring influence of the exciting, ever-popular South American musical rhythms and their non-traditional use has long been present in Tamás Topolánszky’s choreographic approach. This new production uses original melodies and Hungarian-language works by Hungarian composers, with an exciting combination of music written for the production.

Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of Memoirs of a Geisha. The performance takes viewers into the lonely, secretive, and personal world of Women of Dance and Art, the memoir of an elderly dancer who always danced with her whole soul. Yvette Bozsik’s iconic partner, Tamás Vati, also features in the performance, which reveals the inner work of a dancer’s self-knowledge, rituals, inner vibrations, and secrets in the triple unity of body, soul, and spirit. Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by the autobiography Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of the world-famous book and film Memoirs of a Geisha.

At the same time the second half of the 19th century was also a period known for the spreading of mental hospitals; patients 'possessed' by animal spirits and treatments of mental illnesses by torture and other bizarre methods.

The Fitos Dezső Dance Company is careful to regularly stage dance theatre performances that consider the authentic transmission of folklore and the cultures of various historical Hungarian regions as their primary goal. Transylvania Express is a selection of Transylvanian dances and music. With this performance, we want to convey the message that traditional culture lives on in all of us who believe in the value of keeping tradition alive—because tradition defines our future!

EXISTENCE is a tango dance theatre work that follows along the journey of human life—from the drifting impetus of youth to the quiet insight of old age. This journey is born in the tango, in the intimacy of the embrace, through the deep connection between the soul and the body.

In Lutte of Birds, a sense of the soaring of birds seeps through the original concept of Lutte, creating a new and exciting dynamic fusion between the themes of struggle and freedom familiar from Frenak. “We keep others on a leash and pet them as long as they serve us, but the moment they want to move around even a little bit, the moment they want to go, we pull them back,” Frenák describes the violent, power-seeking attitude that appears in Lutte and that has haunted our world for centuries.

Located between present-day Hungary and Transylvania, Partium is a wonderful region rich in culture and colour. Its geographical boundaries changed frequently through the storms of history, making it difficult to determine the exact area of the original Partium.

A Kulcsár Noémi Tellabor társulat tagjai egy varázslatos világba kalauzolják kis nézőiket. A Mikulás épp úton van, hogy minden jó gyermeknek csokoládét és kis játékokat ajándékozzon. De aztán igen nagy slamasztikába keveredik: defektet kap a szánja! Lesz vajon, aki segíthet rajta?

Bármerre járjak is, a helyet, a kultúrát, az arcokat, a pillanatokat már örökre viszem tovább magammal. Az élmények velem jönnek, épp úgy, ahogy a múltat is magunkkal visszük. Ami ma a jelenem, holnap a múltammá válik. De melyik másodperc az, mely a kettőt elválasztja?

Az 1909-ben íródott LILIOM avagy egy csirkefogó élete és halála zsigerből elragadja a nézőket. Egy kis szobalány és egy körhintás legény közötti erőteljes és kaotikus szerelem történetét meséli el. Nyomorúság, nyers érzések, törékenység. A szereplők felelősséget vállalnak sorsukért, és bezárkóznak kudarcaikba, mintha százszor megtennék ugyanazt az utat anélkül, hogy változtatnának rajta.
