The repertoire of Ballet Pécs has always included ballets for children and young people. They consider it a priority to educate young audiences who love and understand dance.
Compared to Swan Lake, the well-known version of the classical ballet, I wished to rephrase the piece from another aspect, in a different light. In my interpretation, Siegfried is a young man with a split mind, who is being held captive by the traumas of his childhood as a result of his relationship with his mother.
A box can hide many things, especially if we can passthrough it into another, fairy-tale, magical dimension. The protagonist of the piece tries to make friends in a game world and meets various puppets. He learns that they have the same emotions, the same bonds and relationships develop between them as if they were people, and maybe he can even fall in love with one of them.
