A Bozsik Yvette Társulat a Varázsfuvola és az Orfeusz és Euridiké után ismét egy nagyszabású operát dolgoz fel a Művészetek Palotája színpadán. Ezúttal Carl Orff 1949-ben megzenésített Antigoné című művét mutatják be.
Szophoklész drámájában, mely alapján a zenemű készült, Antigoné fivérei egymás keze által halnak meg, a király egyiküket árulónak kiáltja ki, de Antigoné a parancs ellenére el akarja őt temetni. Az ókori görög drámában az erkölcs csap össze a hatalommal, a testvéri szeretet és a szerelem próbál felülkerekedni a törvényeken, de a történet végül tragédiába torkollik.

Ever since God gave Adam a companion, fashioned from his rib, in Paradise, the order of the world has been that no one should live alone. Its modality has taken dozens of shades over the millennia since then: cohabitation, bigamy, polygamy, polyandry, all the way until we come to the most familiar form today.
Humanity has grown too distant from its original, natural environment. While we yearn for a more harmonious existence, we are surrounded by more and more chaos every day, making it increasingly difficult to find our way around and live a healthy life.
